  In Introduction to Fine Arts, Mr. Nelson made us do a two-point perspective drawing on the chapel at Brophy. When I heard this, I thought that it was going to be easy. I as wrong about this by a long shot. I had no idea that this drawing would be hard to draw. A big factor that affected me and my drawing is that it was cold outside for about 3 days. My fingers were cold that I couldn’t draw well. I started to get a good head start on my drawing, but on the second day I fell behind. This was drawing was a good time to see what we think of the Brophy chapel. We all have different views of the chapel and I think that Mr. Nelson wanted us to see them. I also liked this project because we had to work under extreme temperatures. We had to fight the cold from our hands to complete our drawing. This project may have got the best of me.

                There are reasons why I didn’t like this project. To start, I wasted a lot of time on doing one thing on my drawing. I could have been working on making my drawing better, instead of doing one thing. Another thing is that I work really slowly. I don’t know why. I guess it’s because I get distracted easily. I do get my work done on time, but I work so slowly that I finish my project on the day that it is due. This project was really fun and sometimes it wasn’t. The cold weather had a big part to do with this. It was a huge factor that played a role in my drawing. In the end, my drawing came out to be really good. I am really on the way that it came out.

 In Introduction to Fine Arts, we had to draw a one point perspective drawing of Brophy Hall. When I heard this, I thought that we were going to actually draw Brophy Hall from the outside. I didn’t know that we had to draw it from the inside. We also had to use measurements and a lot of lines. It was good to get an actual lesson on how to draw Brophy Hall, by Mr. Nelson. He taught us how our drawing needed to look. This really came in handy when it came down to drawing my drawing. Without this, my drawing would look horrible. I am not even kidding. It was kind of confusing because we had to draw lines that were perpendicular and parallel to our line of sight. It took me awhile to get the hang of this, but eventually I got it. Many of my classmates were confused like me.

The things that I did like about this drawing project are that it let us draw something using a different technique. I would have never guessed that I could draw something really good using this technique. Another reason why I liked this drawing is that we went to a different environment to draw. We weren’t in the same classroom as we were with our previous drawings. Some bad things about this drawing I had were that we had to use measurements and lines in our drawing. We had to measure everything that we saw. Another thing that I didn’t like about this drawing is that we didn’t have enough time to work on it. I work at a slow rate and when I’m rushed, I make big mistakes that can eventually ruin my drawing. Anyway, in the end my drawing turned out better than I expected. Even some of my classmates thought my drawing came out to be good. This was a good feeling inside.
